Tinker Hatfield created them, Michael Jordan seared them in the general public’s collective memory with a scintillating shot against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1989 NBA Playoffs, and in the 30 years since, the Jordan 4 “Bred” has gone on to become one of Jordan Brand’s most iconic sneakers of all time. Now, they’re set to return in April, complete with an original detail that was absent when they last released in 2012: original Nike Air branding on the heel, a mark that was last spotted on the 1999 retro. Apart from the aforementioned branded accents, the AJ4 introduced several other embellishments that have become iconic: they were the first Air Jordan silhouette to feature mesh-netted overlays, and also boasted a unique support and lockdown system provided by the iconic “wings” on the lateral and medial sides. From a graphic standpoint, they also that introduced the now-omnipresent “Flight” concept to MJ’s signature line. And all those signature details, embellishments, and tech are brought together by the beautiful combination of black, grey, and fire red that gives the shoe its name. Get a detailed look at this carefully-remastered take of the Air Jordan 4 Bred below, and mark your calendars for their May 4th release.

Garnering some serious momentum for itself very early on in its retail life, the Air Max 720 is arguably the Swoosh’s most unique Sportswear creation yet. Closely following the release of its nature-inspired pack later this month will be the striking University Red variety pictured here. Hinging on a time-tested color combination of black and red, its textured upper primarily opts for the bolder of the two hues whole its midsole, and layered embellishments equip a contrasting black. Officially the second Air Max design engineered strictly for all-day lifestyle use, it equips the largest Air bubble in history with 720-degree cushioning on a longitudinal and latitudinal plane. With official images available below you can expect this 720 to storm into retailers and Nike.com very soon.

After first celebrating its 20th anniversary with a Supreme collaboration in March, the Nike Air Max Tailwind IV is now set to make its official in-line return to market this April, and it’ll kick things off with what may very well be its most classic colorway: “Volt.” Boasting a palette that truly amplifies the Tailwind IV’s turn-of-the-century style, invigorating volt accents are boldly presented on the quarter’s two-tone gradient overlays. They’re also dispersed across the collar’s small Swoosh, the Air Max cushioning units, and the outsole. The rest of the shoe opts for a timeless mix of black and white, with the former providing a crisp look on the base/overlay, while the latter is mainly used for trim/accents, appearing on the tongue’s signature eyeliner detail, over the Air Max units, and around the borders of each piece on the upper. Era-specific “Max Air” hits then complete the branding. These right-before-Y2K-runners will roll out on April 25th for $160 USD, so check out a retailer list below to see where you can secure a pair.
